Rob’s Week 2 Football Picks

Share

I’m not sure if anybody out there is betting on the NFL, but if you’re looking for my input, you probably shouldn’t be betting on the NFL. Anyway, here goes my really quick look at Week 2:

Oakland (+3) over KANSAS CITY - The Raiders looked pretty feisty on Monday Night and I can’t buy any of the Chiefs QBs.

Houston (+6.5) over TENNESSEE - I think the Titans win this one, but Houston was too much firepower.

JETS (+3.5) over New England - I don’t know why the NFL has to torture the Jets with the Patriots every year in week 2. This game really determines which direction this season is going to go for the Jets.

GREEN BAY (-9) over Cincinnatti - The Packers are for real, the Bengals are in real trouble.

DETROIT (+9.5) over Minnesota - Brett Favre is not going to be up for a shootout with Calivin Johnson and Matthew Stafford, this could be the biggest upset of the newborn season.

PHILADELPHIA (Even) over New Orleans - I love the Saints offense, but I think that Philly’s defense finds a way to get it done, even without McNabb.

ATLANTA (-6) over Carolina - Is there any quarterback in the league with more pressure on him besides Jake Delhomme? I think not, especially when the Panthers start off 0-2.

St. Louis (+9.5) over WASHINGTON - You never want to play a team in the NFL the week after they get shut out. I think they get Steven Jackson the ball and make a game out of this.

JACKSONVILLE (+3.5) over Arizona - I just don’t have any faith in our defending NFC Champions, I think Jacksonville gets a win this week.

Seattle (+1.5) over SAN FRANCISCO - This might be my lock of the week. Love the Seahawks in this NFC worst matchup.

BUFFALO (-5) over Tampa Bay - The Bills (and their fans) are pissed about that debacle on Monday Night. Tampa is without Antonio Bryant and I think this one gets out of hand.

DENVER (-3) over Cleveland - The Browns could be my pick for worst team in the NFL and I don’t like them on the road.

Baltimore (+3) over SAN DIEGO - I’m loving Joe Flacco and the Ravens right now and I was not impressed from what I saw from the Chargers vs. the Raiders

Pittsburgh (-3) over CHICAGO - Pittsburgh always figures out a way to get a win, I think they figure out a way to win by three points.

DALLAS (-3) over Giants - I think there’s just too much juice in the building for the Giants to crash Jerry Jones’ housewarming party.

Indianapolis (-3) over MIAMI - I think that Rex Ryan exposed Chad Pennington in that wild card playoff game last January. The book is out on the Dolphins and I think it’s an ugly year for the fins.
